In anticipation of the absence of a U18B league in Metro this season, United DFC is offering our U18 players a choice between joining a U18A team for 11-a-side league games or participating in the new U18 B Level 7 or 9-a-side house league. Team size will be adjusted based on registered players, and our United DFC staff and coaches will collaborate with players to tailor a program that suits their goals and needs. Focused on social interaction, fun, and exercise, this program prioritizes player development with an emphasis on increased ball touches. Join us in creating a fulfilling soccer experience for players at every level.
U18 (includes U16, U17, U18 - 2006, 2007, 2008)
1 session per week at a local school gym until outdoor grass fields open + 1 game in season

Upon finalizing our numbers at this level, squad balance is our priority to ensure a positive experience for all players. We strive to honor friend requests in the team balancing process as much as possible. Players will give feedback in the direction of this program.

All United DFC Coaches will be properly qualified and on-boarded in order to ensure that we as a club adhere to the standards & principles set by Soccer Nova Scotia & Canada Soccer. Coaches will be volunteers from the team’s parents and community. Club staff will carefully oversee the program and support the coaches in all areas needed (including practice planning and game understanding).
All coaches must apply to coach within this program and all applicants will be screened and reviewed in order to ensure that they meet all of the requirements of United DFC & Canada Soccer. These requirements include: the age-stage specific grassroots training/course, making ethical decisions, respect in sport, making headway and emergency action plan. These qualification standards can be found under the Coaching Qualification section of the Canada Soccer Grassroots standards, found here.
