U14AAA Girls High Performance Stream
Fall/Winter 2021-22 powered by ACCEL
About the Program:
We will seek to ensure the United U14AAA Girls will compete a year above themselves in the U15AAA Nova Scotia Soccer League come March 2022 just as our current group at this age level did with distinction this summer.
This year-long project is designed to give them the necessary skill set and physicality to deal with that competitive environment as well as their clubmates have this year.
We are delighted that this season our co-Head Coaches for this group will be Liz McPhail and Lauren Windsor.
Liz and Lauren both have excellent University level playing careers behind them and are now becoming hugely respected in coaching circles with involvement at Team Nova Scotia level in 2021. They will be assisted by United DFC newcomer Katie Walsh, a star player who graduated at Saint Francis Xavier University, who has made a superb early impression at the club.
Added Program Value 2021:
In the Summer block of this Program our AAA players, both male and female, enjoyed expert tuition from Professor Sebastian Harenberg of St Francis Xavier University on Sports Psychology.
They were also given advice on nutrition from leading expert in the field Alfredo Angione.
These links will continue to be developed in Fall/Winter and we will enhance also the content from our partners at ACCEL Physiotherapy on Mental Performance, Injury Prevention and Nutrition. We also added dedicated goalkeeping sessions to the Programs which will continue throughout Fall/Winter.
Player Selection Policy:
In common with all United DFC AAA streams, entry to this program is by INVITATION ONLY which is strictly adhered to. Unless you receive an invitation email from our Technical Director (Youth/Senior) Iain King then please do NOT attempt to register your child at this level.
Please note the following Four-Point Approach:
All children wishing to try out for our AAA programs will be given the chance in Open Development Sessions held over October and early November.
The Four Corners of the game – Technical, Tactical, Psychological and Social – are pondered when deciding a players’ suitability to the Program.
The players are monitored throughout the previous season both in training and in matches using the club’s VEO analysis system.
The Team Coaches, who have been in contact throughout the year, then have a final meeting with the Technical Directors to decide the make-up of each squad.
Cost (Fall/Winter 2021/22):

Payments may be made in instalments between September 1, 2021 and March 14, 2022 - first payment is due upon registration.
