Need To Know - Feb 3-9

Registration to open Week of February 10th.

A host of UDFC volunteers are working with our staff to open registration the week of February 10th. Thank you for your patience.

UDFC Online Auction (for Player Assistance Fund)

UDFC will be hosting our annual club fundraising auction ONLINE this year in May. We are beginning to collect donations for this auction. All funds raised will go to the player Assistance Fund which can be accessed by members in financial need.

We are looking for volunteers to help us contact local businesses for donations. Please email info@udfc.ca if you can help. (It is pretty easy and can be done from home.)

Any donations can be dropped off at the office. Thank you everyone for your generosity.

UDFC Sponsorship Packages

Watch for the release of the new UDFC Sponsorship Package in the coming week. There are many great benefits for our sponsors, including credit for FREE REGISTRATION or UDFC CLOTHING to be used at the sponsor’s discretion. For an advanced viewing of the sponsorship package, email info@udfc.ca.

Looking for Youth Volunteers (ages 14+) to help run the UDFC Skill Center Weekend

The club is looking for some of our youth players to volunteer to be Game Leaders at our second UDFC Skill Centre Jamboree (adult volunteers also welcome). The role of the Game Leader is to “referee” the games for the U8 and U9 players. At this age, refereeing is less like refereeing and more just trying to help them keep the ball in play. It is incredibly relaxed, no previous experience is needed and it is great fun!

We are looking for another 4 or 5 people to make sure everyone is spread out and has appropriate breaks.

The Jamboree is on Saturday February 8th, starting at 7am and running until 1pm. There are two groups, one from 7am-10am and one from 10am-1pm. Each game is 20 minutes long, and you will likely be asked to lead multiple games in your time period.

This is a nice introduction to refereeing as well as a great opportunity to volunteer for the club. If you are interested, please email info@udfc.ca with which time band you prefer!
