FUTURE COACH INITIATIVE

 

JOB OVERVIEW

United DFC is seeking part-time coaches from within our player core and membership to land posts within our new Future Coach Initiative.

The successful candidate will be aged 16 and upwards and have the aptitude and enthusiasm to work as an emerging coach across all divisions of the club from the minis, to community, to A/B, AA and AAA programs. They will have the maturity and responsibility to both act as a lead coach and as an assistant coach. This position will report to, and be mentored by, the Technical Director.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1 session per week with a Community Team (1hr delivery, 1hr prep) = 2hrs

1 game per week with a Community Team (1hr coaching, 1r Prep) = 2hrs

1 session per week on a Monday from October 25 working with an experienced coach to deliver a session to our High-Performance Training players at BMO = 2hrs

The possibility of another session in the Community division as a game leader = 2hrs

Once a month on a rota basis a Future Coach will deliver a 1hr practice designed by themselves and assisted by a Technical Director at a special session at BMO on Monday 5-6pm to further their coach education.

The Technical Directors may also have other office tasks or coaching requirements that will be included but a Future Coach’s workload will not exceed a maximum of 10hrs per week.

 

IMPORTANT DATES

The Fall/Winter season begins on Tuesday October 12, 2021 and runs until March 11, 2022 and you must be available to work within these dates. Weekend work for games is also included.

 

SALARY

Should you be successful in landing this post the salary will be $15 per hour, you will be paid bi-weekly by cheque and this will be mailed to your home address.

Any vacations/absences you have planned must be noted to the Technical Director at least TWO WEEKS in advance so cover can be arranged.
