Program Overview

United DFC’s Mini Active Start program for 5- and 6-year-olds offers the perfect mix of fun, physical activity, and early soccer development in an indoor gym setting.

This co-ed program focuses on building fundamental movement skills, fostering physical literacy, and introducing basic soccer techniques through a variety of age-appropriate games and activities. Each session is led by trained staff and dedicated volunteers, creating a supportive and engaging environment where players can grow in confidence, skill, and love for the game.

Sessions are designed to promote teamwork, creativity, and social connection, ensuring every child has fun while staying active and learning the foundations of soccer.

Program cost:  $110

• U5 (2022) - Mini Active Start
• U6 (2021) - Mini Active Start

• Co-ed 

Program Structure & Commitment

• One session per week
• Indoor gym setting
• 45 minute sessions

Coaching & Support

All winter teams are led by club staff coaches. Our experienced staff provide consistent, high-quality instruction throughout the season, following structured session plans designed to support player development in a fun and engaging environment. 

Training Sessions & Field Options

U5 - U6 will have one session per week. These will be 45 minute sessions in an indoor school gym.

Player Selection Policy

No evaluations or team selection. All children are welcome.
