Uniform note*
The United DFC Youth AA Program is a high-performance development stream for players aged U15 to U18 who are committed to elevating their game. This program balances strong technical training with competitive league play, designed for athletes who either aspire to reach the AAA level or are committed to excelling at the AA level.
AA players train in a focused, team-oriented environment that emphasizes skill development, game understanding, and physical preparation. Selection for the program is based on club assessments, with limited roster spots available per age group.
The United DFC AA Programs from U15-U18 will compete in the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) indoor league.
At United DFC, we are committed to providing a fair, consistent, and development-focused player selection process for all athletes participating in our High Performance Programs (AAA and AA). Our goal is to ensure that every player is placed in an environment where they can thrive, grow, and compete at a level appropriate to their current stage of development. For the upcoming season, all players — returning and new — will participate in a club-led assessment process. This approach ensures that every athlete is given the same opportunity to earn a spot on a team based on demonstrated performance.
While past performance, attendance, and commitment will still be considered, returning players are not automatically guaranteed a roster spot. The assessment process ensures fairness and accountability for all athletes in our high-performance programs.
New players are encouraged and welcome to attend assessments for consideration in any high-performance program (AAA or AA). Our staff is committed to creating an open and supportive evaluation environment where all players can showcase their abilities.

We are dedicated to making selections that are in the best interest of the player, ensuring that every athlete is challenged appropriately and set up for success in their soccer journey.
If you have questions about the assessment process, selection criteria, or team placement, please contact Mesut Mert, our Manager of Coach Development.
