U15 & U17 AAA SUMMER 2026

Program Overview
- Most comprehensive development programming within the club.
- Functions as a spring board/gateway to Soccer NS Provincial Team, Soccer NS Excel Program, CCAA (College), USports (University) programming.
- Players are regularly exposed to competition across the Nova Scotia, and Maritimes.
- Competition against teams from outside of Atlantic Canada occurs 1 to 2 times a year.
- Participation in this program is invite only for the summer phase.
Program Outcomes
- Individual skill development through application within individual, unit, and team tactical responsibilities and tasks:
- One example would be:
- Individual (as a CB for example):
- Recognizing when, where, how, and why to move when the ball is moving to close opposition players down.
- Unit (from the perspective of a CB as an example):
- Recognizing the above and how to keep the horizontal distances optimal with teammates when moving as a defensive line.
- Team (from the perspective of a CB for example)
- Recognizing the above and understanding how to manage relationships between defensive line and midfield line when operating under team strategy to keep a mid-block when in defensive organization.
- Development of tactical role(s) understanding
- Mental skills development to manage developmental pressures
- Physical preparedness for next level of opportunity
Age Groups & Eligibility
Who is this for?
Players who are engaged by the sport, wish to achieve their performance goals, demonstrate higher competency compared to most of their age group peers at the time of team formation process, want to access further developmental opportunities outside of UDFC.
AAA teams are formed based on player performance and invitation. Players who demonstrate strong ability, commitment, and readiness during assessments and within the AA program may be invited to join the AAA team. Any player interested in progressing to AAA is encouraged to register for the AA tryouts, where promotion opportunities are available based on performance.

U15 & U17 AAA:
- Winter contacts:
- 3 on-field sessions a week
- Participation in bi-weekly 11 side exhibition series
- Participation in NSSL 7-aside league

Team formation process
U15 & U17 AAA:
- Teams are formed in September for the winter season
- Teams are formed in March for the summer season

- Coaches are Canada Soccer & NCCP Certified and supported by Manager of Coach Education, Mesut Mert.

BOLDED DAYS indicates a backup day. The NSSL will try to use the two primary game days and in some circumstances where it is not possible, the third backup day may be used to schedule games
Uniform note*
- UDFC owns the uniforms. The club hands them out at the beginning of the year, collects them at the end of the year, and charges a rental fee of $20/season.
- The $20 rental fee needs to be paid on the front end of the registration process.
- The club takes a $40 deposit, which will be cashed if both jerseys do not come back in good condition at the end of the season. Please hand the deposit off to you manager at the beginning of the year once teams are formed.
- Socks and shorts can be purchased via Level Up. The club does not manage inventory internally.
