Program Overview

United DFC’s U10/12 Neighbourhood House League Program provides a welcoming, inclusive environment for both beginner and experienced players. With weeknight-only commitments, the program focuses on skill development, confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment, while giving players opportunities to grow on and off the field.

Players participate in weekly practices and league games, along with special club events such as Soccermania and Soccer by the Sea. The 2026 season features a World Cup theme and concludes with a fun Players vs Fans celebration.

 

PROGRAM COST: $280

 

Age Groups & Eligibility

  • U10 & U12 (Born 2016 & 2015)
  • Open registration - all players welcome

 

Coaching & Support

Teams are led by volunteer and parent coaches, supported by United DFC summer staff. The club provides:

  • Age-appropriate session plans
  • On-field setup and support
  • Consistent programming across all locations

Volunteer coaches receive an end-of-season incentive. No prior coaching experience is required.

 

Training & Games

  • Two nights per week
    • One training session
    • One league game
  • Session length: 55 minutes

 

Tentative training nights:

  • Boys U12C: Monday
  • Girls U12C: Tuesday

 

Game Days:

  • Boys U12C: Wednesday
  • Girls U12C: Thursday

Some travel is required for games in Cole Harbour, Dartmouth, Eastern Passage, or Porters Lake / Lake Echo.

 

Locations

Practices are scheduled, where possible, in the player’s registered community:

  • Cole Harbour
  • Dartmouth
  • Eastern Passage

Games and special events will require travel within the region.

 

Player Selection Policy

Open registration. All players welcome.

  • May 4: Last day to submit friend requests
  • May 30: Mini Gear Pick-Up
  • June 1: Boys Welcome Event (Portland Estates)
  • June 2: Girls Welcome Event (Portland Estates)
  • June 3: Boys practices begin
  • June 4: Girls practices begin
  • June 10 / 11: League games begin
  • July 9: Soccermania / World Cup Event
  • August 15: Soccer by the Sea - Year-End Festival
  • Week of August 17: Final week - Players vs Fans game night

 

No sessions on:

  • Canada Day - July 1
  • Natal Day - August 3
